Walking on the Wicklow Way

The Wicklow Way is the oldest and the most scenic long distance walk in Ireland.

It is about 130km long and crosses the Wicklow Mountains from Dublin (Marley Park), to Clonegal (County Carlow)*. Many walkers end their journey in Bunclody, as it is located just a few kilometres from Clonegal, and buses run back to Dublin, Carlow and Wexford, each day.

Next time you visit us in Mon Petit Cottage, don't forget to add this beautiful walk to your list of activities! We will be delighted to prepare you a delicious breakfast "to-go" and drive you to the trail.

Whether in winter, spring, summer of fall, get ready to walk through magical forests, fantastic streams, mysterious megalithic tombs, quaint little villages, and picturesque mountains. All you need is a bottle of water, good shoes, a few sandwiches, and a camera!

The Wicklow Way is a perfect bucket list item, so come to Mon Petit Cottage and reconnect with nature for a day or for a week!
