Here is the list of questions you may ask yourself before coming to Ireland:
❓Do Irish people really drive on the left side of the road?
YES, they do! This is part of the Irish experience!
❓Do Irish people drive manual cars?
YES, they do! But you can also rent an automatic car, so no worries!
❓Is the steering wheel on the right side of the car?
YES, it is! You will need to get used to sitting on the right side of the car (I am still working on it!)
❓Are the pedals and the clutch reversed?
NO, they are not! They remain on the same side. You will “simply” be passing the speeds with your left hand, but your feet will not act differently!
❓Are roundabouts reversed as well?
YES, we are! You will have to turn clockwise. Just don’t forget to look on your right side before entering your roundabout!
